Clean Paths & Furniture for the Winter

With gardens dormant for Winter aside from the tidying up of dying foliage now can be a very good time for cleaning paths and back yards. This was certainly the case for one of my regular customers whose back yard was treacherous in wet weather. You can see the difference. This now not only looks better but the worst of the dirt, algae and moss has been cleared so that it will now be much safer underfoot.
Whilst I was at it I couldn't resist giving the garden furniture a wash some of which literally came up as good as new. The older furniture still shows some age but equally enjoys the wash. We have now stored these in my customer's garage and will give them a fresh coat of furniture oil at some point this winter after sufficient drying time.
I've included a 'during' photo of a garden bench below to show the stark contrast.
A slightly bigger project may be to re-point the bricks sometime in 2020.
