ABOUT ME

The outdoors type who has spent most of his working life in an office

A life-long love of gardening has been put to good use following redundancy in 2018 and my realisation that the time was right to move from the office to the outdoors.

I offer a range of Decking, Gardening & Odd Job Services in the Hastings & St Leonards area specialising in decking makeovers. A jet wash, clean and oiling or coating of your deck will not only look fantastic but will add years to its life. I can also replace or repair old boards. For new builds I would recommend you seek a specialist deck builder.

Regardless of the task I have always placed customer care at the top of my priorities. No job is complete until the customer is fully satisfied.

Add Years to the Life of Your Decking

The results of a Greensmith decking makeover can be swift and spectacular

BEFORE

Have you been enjoying your deck too much or perhaps too little?
How many years since it last had a wash and a fresh couple of coats of decking oil?
Years of neglect not only makes the deck look shabby, but the accumulated dirt, moss and algae proves dangerously slippery when wet.

AFTER

A jet wash, plus spot treatment with a fungicide, plus two coats of water-based decking oil brought this deck back to life. As you can see it wasn't an old deck, it just looked it in the 'Before' photo.

Now it not only looks years younger and much healthier, bringing back the beautiful grain, it won't be as dangerous underfoot.

I can also repair or replace rotten decking boards where required.

Ian has done various bits of work in my garden including clearing an area that uncovered low retaining walls. In a matter of hours Ian cleared it of rubbish, weeds and shrubs then the following week came up with a planting plan and planted new plants that are now thriving. He has also expertly tackled hedges and overgrown grass that I would have hacked back. I am happy to leave Ian with the house keys so he can work during the day and I would always recommend him if you want someone reliable, hardworking and friendly to get your garden looking it’s best.
